A Little About Me

I hail from the land of green jello and some of the world’s worst drivers… Utah. I have always been a very opinionated person who talks way too much. I figured it was time that I created a place for all my thoughts to go- because I have a LOT of thoughts.

One thing you would probably never guess just by looking at me is that I am physically disabled. I have nerve damage in both of my legs from a tumor that was in my spinal cord. My tumor was super rare, I am one of 4 documented cases in the world and it was featured on a Grey’s Anatomy episode. But did I get any monetary compensation for advancing the medical and entertainment world? Nope. Am I still upset about that? Yes. It took 3 months and 3 schools to finally get a diagnosis and I just know in my heart that some grad students probably got a scholarship or grant money for their discovery… but my body grew that tumor so I think I deserve a little recognition! But I digress…

When you live every day in physical pain you have to figure out some way to keep a positive attitude. Traveling is something that I really love and I’ve been lucky enough to live in China, the US Virgin Islands, and now Switzerland as a single adult.

I believe in taking bad pictures on purpose, complimenting strangers, and sharing the not-so-glamorous but absolutely hilarious mistakes I make while living life.

As Hannah Montana once said, “Life’s what you make it, so let’s make it rock”. Amen, sister!
